Ever look on the back of a cleaning product and instantly question what really is in your cleaner?! Cause I know I have! Read more about how to ditch conventional cleaners and choose sustainable!

Cleaning products can be expensive to begin with when majority of it is water! Buying natural refilled cleaners are even more expensive making the basic right to a clean environment a privilege. While I am all for sustainable products, using what I have, and going green I am not for breaking the bank and putting my financial stability at risk. Here are a few ways I incorporate sustainability into my cleaning routine at a low cost:

Reuse: The first thing I do is REUSE! Empty bottles, glass jars, old t-shirts make a great addition to anyone's cleaning routine. Empty spray bottles can be used for diy cleaners. Glass jars can be used to make infused vinegars. Plus old t-shirts make great rags, cleaning wipes, and unpaper towels. Being creativity was the best way I made my greener cleaning routine less expensive.

Vinegar: Want a powerhouse that can work for almost every room in your house?! That would be the one and only vinegar! Vinegar can be used as a tough grime cleaner, drain unclogged, sink cleaner, countertop cleaner (when diluted and added with water and essential oils), and even a fabric softener! While finding vinegar plastic free may be a challenge the limits are endless with this magical ingredient.

Castile Soap: This all purpose soap from Dr.Bronners is an amazing addition! I use it to make my own dish soap, hand soap, and carpet cleaner. While yes it does contain palm oil they have shown evidence that it is harvested in a sustainable manner.

Baking Soda: Now where do I start with baking soda. It's your favourite tile cleaner/sink cleaner, and makes stainless steal look GLOWING! What I love about baking soda is that it is such an accessible and versatile ingredient. It is almost at every single grocery store and can cost little to nothing!

Coconut Oil: You may have seen this ingredient a lot over on my instagram as it is a staple in my skincare routine and cleaning routine! Coconut oil works great for squeaky door hinges and to remove crayon from your walls. It is the dream when using this product!

*When purchasing coconut oil look for raw and unrefined for the best results

Cleaning doesn't HAVE to be expensive! Be creative and you will surely find green solutions that work for you!
